Job Title: Dietitian Compay: GEO Care, Inc
Education: State of Florida License
Commission on Dietetic Registration		 Location: Hialeah, Florida
Description: · Performs menu review, including review of diet spreads and all special diets, as required by physician orders.
· Acts as liaison between dietary, administration, medical and nursing staffs.
· Communicates with the concerned parties involved in nutritional care.
· Attends any contractor inspection, survey or licenser activity, at the request of the Director of Food Service.
· Directs the food service staff as to the proper assessment and follow up procedures.
· Participates in development of policies, procedures, and continuing education programs.
· Directs the food service staff as to a schedule of in-services as outlined in the GEO Care/SFETC policies.
· Chairs a Food and Nutritional Services Committee that will meet at least monthly to address nutritional and education needs of the patients and staff.
· Provides direction to the Director of Food Service and the food service staff as to the committee’s pertaining to nutritional care for the persons served.
· Attends care plan meetings that cover patients who are nutrionally at risk as needed. Will give input at the care plan meetings as how to best increase the nutritional care given to the patients.
· Performs at least quarterly an audit of the Food Services Department.
· Submits a monthly report to the Director of Food Service, with corrective action and an outline of duties performed.
Job Requirements:

· License to practice as a Registered Dietician and 3 years experience in a hospital setting.
